DISCLAIMER E PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Consultation of the site www.belaw.it (hereinafter, the ‘Site’) and/or the sending of e-mails to the e-mail addresses indicated on the Site entails the processing by the owner of data relating to identified or identifiable persons.
This Privacy Policy describes how the Site is managed with regard to the processing of the personal data of the users who consult it and constitutes information provided pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – Personal Data Protection Code (hereinafter, ‘Privacy Code’).
The information is provided only for the Site and not for any other websites that may be consulted through links on the Site.
- Type of data processed and purpose of processing
a) Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this Site, also for the purpose of enabling its consultation, acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This is information that by its very nature could, through association and processing with data held by third parties, make it possible to identify visitors. In particular, it concerns the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment.
This data is used only to allow and control the correct operation of the Site and is deleted immediately after processing. No data will be communicated or disseminated, except for the purpose of fulfilling obligations required by law.
b) Cookies
b.1) what are cookies?
Cookies are short text files that are sent by the website visited to the user’s device (personal computer, tablet, mobile phone, etc.), where they are stored in order to be transmitted back to the site on the next visit.
Cookies may, however, be installed not only by the same operator of the website that the user is visiting (‘first-party cookies’), but also by the operator of a different website/web server that installs cookies via the first one (‘third-party cookies’). This is because on the site visited, for example, there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the site visited.
Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations concerning users accessing the server, storing preferences, enabling efficient navigation between pages, remembering favourite sites and, in general, improving the browsing experience.
Depending on the function and purpose of use, cookies can be divided into technical cookies and profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are cookies that serve to carry out navigation or to provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for any other purpose and are normally installed directly by the owner of the website visited by the user. Without the use of such cookies, certain operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure. The use of technical cookies does not require the user’s consent.
Technical cookies are assimilated to technical cookies – and, therefore, the users’ consent is not required for their installation – as well as “analytics” cookies, where they are created and used directly by the operator of the first party website (without, therefore, the intervention of third parties) to collect information in aggregate form without the possibility of tracing the identification of the individual user, as well as analytical cookies created and made available by third parties and used by the first party site for mere statistical purposes, if, among other things, appropriate tools are adopted to reduce the identification power of the analytical cookies they use (for example, by masking significant portions of the IP address).
Profiling cookies are cookies used to track the user’s web browsing and create profiles of their tastes, habits, choices, etc. With these cookies, advertising messages can be sent to the user’s terminal in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing online. These cookies can only be installed on the user’s terminal if the user has given their consent.
Based on their duration, cookies are distinguished into persistent, which remain stored, until they expire, on the user’s device, unless removed by the user, and session cookies, which are not stored persistently on the user’s device and disappear when the browser is closed.
